Old Lawn Chairs

My eleven year old friend spotted these chairs by the side of the road. For her they just looked "cool" and she wanted them for her photography portfolio.
For me, they were memories of when everyone had this type of lawn furniture. You were really well off if you had four chairs AND a matching glider! That metal furniture was it during the sixties and seventies. I see them in catalogs--both newer and the old, as seen here. People are paying big money for the rusted iron. Maybe I should bought one and strapped it to the car.

From My Protoge or Photoge?

Thought I would share with you several photographs taken by my eleven year old photo protoge. She decided that she wanted to learn to take good pictures when she was 8 years old. Each year, with my assistance, she has produced a complete themed calendar for her family and very close friends. She takes all the pictures. I am there to coach her, talk her through perspective, seeing things from different perspectives, and using different lenses. These photos were taken by her on a road trip up to the Fossil Rim Wildlife park in Glen Rose, Texas. I thought you might enjoy seeing the world through an eleven year old's eyes.
